Villa Puccini – Toscana (2000)

This red hailing from Italy, has been aged 12 months in Oak and hails from the Tuscan region. It is a 90% Sangiovese/10% Merlot , and a perfect example of why you should write reviews of wines at the time you drink them and not a week or two later.

While not unpleasent it is unfortunatly not a stunning wine, it does need a some airing to get its best, and is relatively light in colour. It does go well with Italian food (funny that) and not too shabby with Mexican either :D. This bottle seemed past its peak and not quite corked, but heading down that path.
