TrueCrypt – Free Open-Source On-The-Fly Disk Encryption Software for Windows XP/2000 and Linux
It’s said that only the paranoid survive, usually this is said by the paranoid themselves – it does not how ever prevent it from being true (on occasion).
With recent laws being passed in the UK forcing people to hand over their encryption keys if required and requested by authorities it could be handy as it allows you to create multiple volumes within the encrypted image file. As I understand this software it is not possible to tell how many volumes, 1, 2, 3, … 15 were created, even if you handed people multiple keys to volumes with unimportant data in it, stuff you wanted secret would remain secret.
