Today, Nat, Clare, Dave and I went on a bit of a hunt for some decent screensavers or Desktop Backgrounds in the area of Pierces Creek (behind Cotter, before Tidbinbilla in the ACT).
The reason behind this is that on the return journey from yesterdays Sunday School outing there were a great many views that would have made wonderful pictures, but no one had? a digital camera and it was decided that we would head off to find some decent places to take some pictures.
The day for this was on the surface not as good as yesterday, as it was overcast and somewhat hazey. However I remembered a spot that was quite nice at providing decent panoramas. It was also a chance to face a new demon, for Laurel Camp Road, Pierces Creek is where we headed (this was where I rolled my Audi S3 in January this year, but the views out there are spectacular). So we headed off and spent about an hour and a half out there. (Dave’s wife was at home studying for her up coming exams and missed out).
We were fortunate to spot many interesting things, including an awesome sunset, that was just spectacular. We investigated a creek, saw a bat and got an appreciation for the devestation caused by the bushfires several years ago.
