  • I found this raw and unbridled opinion on the up and coming XBox 360 and PS3’s on the wibbly wobbly web. It does not bode well for microsoft and sony who’se penny pinching in the design of their up and coming next gen consoles renders them somewhat neutered.

  • Warning over unpatched IE bug | The Register

It looks like internet explorer has yet another bug. No fix available for it, so may I suggest that in the interim you switch to something like firefox or one of the other browsers that dont seem to have as many bugs (and when they are found they are patched very quickly).

Life’s fun in windows land 😉

It seems that the next Gotham Racing (3) will feature some awesome graphics that are already causing a stir in the media. It would seem that some journo’s have cried “fake” and in response more screenshots showing wireframe were released.

All I have to say is “Wooooooooooah” in true neo stylings :D.

  • It seems that the mob who what make money from scratchy tickets have released a new one – “Monopoly” based extended play scratchy.

Woah I expect that they will make a fortune in unclaimed prizes ;). It has 12 rolls of the dice to get you round the board and see what you do and dont win (single dice) you need to collect a whole set of any coloured group to win a prize with additional prizes for go (200) free parking (50) either of the utilities (8) and any station (4).

If you say start on free parking, you will make a dogs breakfast of the game rendering it awkward to play properly and really quite confusing, well normal play is rather confusing as there is little contrast difference between the squares and if you miscount its a shambles.

It is an interesting scratch, but there is little suspense as it only uses a single dice “roll” per turn you can be pretty much gauranteed that if you pass one set you wont be going round again to collect its mates.

  • Well I had the misfortune of thinking that a package 67grams heavier than the maxium allowed by the 500gm sachel. I figured that it would be cheaper to post this package using a little tuff bag and posting it based on weight.

    A 500g pre paid satchel costs $4.10
    A 3kg pre paid satchel costs $8.90

Guess what a tuff bag (90c for the bag) costs to post with weight of 567gram.

If you guessed $10.05 incl. of the bag you would be correct.

So in future a 3KG pre paid satchel is actually rather cheap and cost effective.

Useful page to see what speeds you are likely to be able to achieve with ADSL2 and ADSL2+ based on both distance and line attenuation.

  • You know what really sucks about ebay – the fact that there is no way for you to pay your sellers fee’s using the eBay owned PayPal, how uselessly stupid is that? I’d say about 9 parts useless per 10.

  • Many humble apologies for unexpected outage experienced today. It seems that someone decided that it would be fun to plug as many electrical appliances into the same circuit as my router and server, rendering the whole thing completly uncontactable for about 8 hours (when I valiantly returned power to everything that required after being very far away).

If you would like to help see this not be happening again – please feel free to donate a UPS or money ;).

A page detailing future plans will be posted soon.

I do apologise in advance for setting up yet another “this site needs your help” pages, but hey it will get the job done quicker than relying on my cash flow 😛

  • Well the miniSD card arrived and is now living in the smartphone :D. This should hopefully make it good for transferring files around and mp3 playing.

Now all I need do is move all the internal applications to live on the miniSD rather than the phones “ram/flash” so that it has more ram to run in and therefore should end up being faster.
